Necklace - mainstat / crit / crit / socket is the goal.Rings - mainstat / crit / crit / socket is what you're looking for before moving on to next piece.Once you have main/crit/crit/3rd roll move on to rings Gloves - main stat, crit / crit / whatever 3rd roll is most important stat priority (like AS or CDR).Other stats like AD / CDR / skill dmg or desirable but generally take longer to get. For Offhand - high dmg roll, crit, high proc % on the orange is required for a 'usable one'.At this point your priorities will generally be optimizing: Offhand, gloves, necklace, rings to help boost your dmg - as these are all your main dmg slots.Assume if your weapon is just OK you'll upgrade it again at some point, so once you've got a usable ancient weapon move onto the next piece. You might get lucky with a good one early on, but really any ancient weapon (assuming it doesn't have a dogshit proc) will significantly outperform a normal one. This will generally be your single biggest upgrade you will see. Here is where you should really start looking for your first big ancient weapon.Start upgrading your main 3 gems as high as you can. Run spd GRs for gear / gems / XP at whatever level you're capable to finish off getting the right pieces for your desired build, even if the rolls on all pieces aren't right.Start working on leveling your gems to 25. Start running GRs to get your gems going and start to get to your 70 primal.Run a couple sets of bounties so you have enough mats to cube your core build items / get 2x rorg + 2x avarice band (one for follower, one for you while grouping) and any other bounty items that may be useful to your build.Doing so you should also acquire items for cube and ancillary items for your build(s) Run nephs for keys / mats for a couple hours. My gearing process / optimization process is this: After you play a couple classes / seasons you'll start to get a sense of what items are easy to come by, which are hard to come by, and what you will just naturally accumulate along the way.
